Happy Earth Day!
I’ve been meaning to post this photo for almost two weeks, ever since New England came out from under [what felt like] weeks of rain and was greeted by great explosions of color and sweet floral perfume. The Magnolias, Forsythias, Dogwoods and all other manner of flowering greenery suddenly burst into bloom! It has been really wonderful and I’m having a euphoric little love affair with Spring (but don’t worry BD - I’m coming home to you!)
So take a moment today and go outside, stand facing the sun, close your eyes and take a deep breath. Repeat. This little moment of Zen is brought to you by our incredibly fascinating and endlessly mesmerizing little planet!
Here’s a great link with a list of national Earth Day events! Enter your zipcode in the spot to the right and all of your local happenings will appear - all you have to do is show up! If a community event isn’t on your schedule today there are also a ton of little things you can do in and around your own home to celebrate Earth Day. Here are a few great starter ideas from Mighty Nest via Simple Organic.
